We support customers in diverse sectors, a category that is difficult to capture in "High Value" or precision engineering. This could be in automotive supply chain, the energy sector or it could be in the defence sector.

The common theme is that these sectors have pipe systems that require either extremely clean systems, where conventional flushing techniques cannot achieve the required level of cleanliness or where the manufacturing process or operations have a high cost associated with "downtime".

Ice Pigging is a relatively quick process, we have examples of reducing cleaning cycles down from hours to minutes, days to hours, and weeks to days. These applications can also be complex in terms of in-pipe equipment e.g. in line probes and/or monitoring equipment as well as valves and pumps etc.​​

Pharma
​Ice Pigging has been successfully used in the pharmaceutical industry for the remediation of ultra pure water systems. Pharmaceutical processing plants typically use a pure water supply loop to supply water that has been processed to an exceptional level of purity onsite. This water is then used across the plant in numerous process and is critical to the entire production system. This pure water system in monitored constantly and routinely cleaned and inspected. In some situations systems have become contaminated with foreign object debris or biofilm. Getting a system back to the standard required in the pharmaceutical industry can be extremely challenging. Ice Pigging is used as part of the remediation process in a number of plants.

Automotive and Supply Chain

Automotive and their supply chain have extremely high standards to comply to in a very competitive sector. Quality and repeatability are key drivers.

Ice Pigging allows improved quality standards whether it is used in paints and pigments or paint lines or upstream engineering applications in the automotive supply chain. This could be in the precision engineering of catalytic converters or in ensuring fuel system test centres have no biological contamination of "clean" fuel lines.​

Surface Coatings, Paints and Pigments
Ice from the Ice Pigging machine is able to generate higher shear wall forces than conventional flushing techniques. Whilst at the same time proving a non abrasive clean. Ice Pigging can be used to provide a superior clean between production batches. It is also much faster than flushing, when using our "in factory" NIV500 equipment this can all be done automatically when the Nivalis machines "handshake" with the factory control system.
Personal Care and Cosmetics
We provide "in factory" equipment to world leading and long established manufacturers. Our customers manufacture hair care products, body washes, creams and lotions. Ice Pigging equipment saves Products and Time and improves overall production efficiency.
